Episode 2.12: Doctor Strange All Spoilers Podcast

Welcome back to the podcast! In this episode we go super deep into Doctor Strange, a movie that the majority of the podcast absolutely loved. We don’t hold back and spoil the crap out of the movie, so if you’re sensitive to that, stay back. We also get into Luke Cage and have a trailer round up. Tune in and let us know what you thought about the movie!

Episode 2.6: Breaking Down the Breakdown

It’s time for a new podcast! In this episode we kick off the ICBIS Book Club by diving into J.G. Ballard’s classic novel High-Rise and Ben Wheatley’s film adaptation of the book. It’s a crazy book with some rough parts, so be forewarned. We also circle back around discuss some feedback on Capatain America: Civil War and get into Gedge’s adventures at the renaissance festival.

Plus: Nerd Gatekeeping! Cosplay Models! The introduction of Darnell Gooch!

Episode 2.4: Clash of the Titans

We’re back with a round up of the past few week’s big news items. Most importantly, we get pumped about the recent buff guy and girl brawls with our takes on Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and this year’s Wrestlemania. Both were bad, but we at least had fun watching one of them. We also dive into the importance of character and storytelling, why professional wrestling should be a more credible nerd outlet, and get excited about a bunch of new trailers.

Episode 2.3: Daredevil v. Punisher v. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Violence

Welcome back! In this week’s podcast we down and dirty on the newest season of Daredevil and look forward to this weekend’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. More specifically we dive into how violent these things are and whether or not that’s a good thing.

Also: Red Dawn! Downton Abbey! Gedge’s dirty Batmobile Shirt!

Episode 3: Hipster Superheroes

We’re back for our third episode. I’m a little bit more awake in this one, and Gedge is as angry and clueless as always. In this one we catch up on last week’s news and answer the big question: can Kurt Russell still pull off Snake Plissken?

Also, we hate hipster millennial bullshit, but we love the new Batgirl comic. Listen to why we think it’s cool even though we’re not 16 year old girls. We also get around to answering a listener question.

The Black Panther Makes His Online Debut

Captain America: Civil War has made it’s way from Atlanta to Berlin, where they appear to be shooting some exciting exteriors with Cap, Bucky, and the Black Panther! Marvel hasn’t been as coy with the Black Panther as they have been with the newest iteration of Spider-Man, official announcing the casting of Chadwick Boseman and releasing concept art back in October, but it’s still pretty exciting to see the images of the very first live action adaptation of the character.

Episode 2: Revenge of the Unicorn

Hey Everyone, back again with another podcast! We made it to two! In this episode we discuss Batman: Arkham Knight. Even if you’re not into video games, you might still enjoy the conversation as it devolves into a discussion on the artistic merit of video games, and the ethics of Batman’s privilege (to beat the shit out of people).

We also discuss DragonCon, which is coming up in less than a month and try to piss off the more colorful segments of fandom. We’re sorry, but not really.

Stick around until the end to hear John argue whether or not Captain America sucks.

As always, be sure to follow the pod via Soundcloud, Twitter (@coolbutsucks), and Facebook.

Episode 1

Hey everyone, here’s our first show! Gedge and I listen to a lot of podcasts, so let’s see if that translates into us being able to make one of our own.

This one runs a little long because we use the first part of the show to discuss what we want actually want to do with this show. We then move on to talk about everything from James Bond, to Spider-Man, to Doctor Who, to Mission:Impossible. We’ll probably keep the next one a bit shorter. Listen in, and let us know what you think. We have no idea what we’re doing, so any suggestions would probably help.
